Hi everyone! My name is Erin McCoy (she/her) and I am so excited to serve as the 10th grade Chemistry teacher at High Tech High Mesa! I grew up in San Jose, CA and spent all of my time playing soccer or hanging at the beach with friends and family. I graduated from the University of Oregon (‘sco Ducks!) in 2020 with a BS in Human Physiology before heading south to pursue my Masters of Arts in Teaching from USC.

I joined the High Tech High organization in 2022 as a long-term Biology substitute, and later worked at the Education Specialist for our 9th and 12th grade students. I did TONS of learning and growing in my first two years at HTHM and look forward to the opportunities that year three will bring! Outside of work I enjoy playing soccer and beach volleyball, finding new restaurants around town, and spending time with friends and family (and dogs!).
