I was born in Santa Ana, California, and raised in various parts of sunny southern California. Out of all the cities I have lived in, San Marcos has grown to be what I love to call home. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in psychology and a minor in Spanish. A fun fact is that after graduation, I completed a study abroad program in Lyon, France, where I had to learn enough French to get around fast! I fell in love with the language and still continue to try and practice. After my return home, I became a preschool teacher at the Raggedy Ann and Andy preschool program for a few years. Working there really solidified my love for helping little minds grow.
I love being a dog mom to my three-legged goldendoodle named Teddy. He is the absolute sunshine of my life! When I am not watching movies with my husband, walking around the neighborhood, or cuddling on the couch with Teddy, I keep busy by adopting many hobbies, such as watercolor painting, swimming, sewing, and pottery. I am very family-oriented and love being around them as often as possible.
I was introduced to HTH over four years ago and am very excited to be joining the HTeNC family this year as the new Spanish teacher. I am passionate about teaching and am grateful for the opportunity to do so. I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of our raptors this year!
