Cristina Savaglio was born and raised in San Diego, California. After high school, Cristina moved to Chicago, Illinois where she attended Loyola University of Chicago and received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology. After college, Cristina moved back to San Diego to be closer to family and to pursue her passions. She has always desired to work in education with the littlest learners. Due to this passion, Cristina worked as a Movement Teacher and then began to work on the High Tech High team as a 4th grade academic coach. Cristina loved working in the 4th grade, but her true passion has always been Kindergarten. She made the switch from academic coach to Kindergarten Ed Specialist last year. Cristina enjoyed every moment as an Ed Specialist, but missed being in a whole group setting and is now teaching her own Kindergarten class! She is extremely excited for the school year and looks forward to welcoming our school’s youngest learners. In her free time Cristina enjoys playing golf, hiking, hanging out at the beach, and taking her dogs to the park.
