Jami Saville is a Southern California native who was born and raised in Hermosa Beach.
Raised by two Deaf parents, Jami learned how to sign before she could speak! She
graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Education. A
beach girl at heart, she returned to California to get her teaching credential and Masters in
Education from UCLA. Jami started off her teaching career in South Los Angeles and
taught kindergarten for three years. Upon moving to San Diego, she taught both kindergarten and second grade in the San Diego Unified School District for 5 years.
Jami was a founding teacher at both High Tech Elementary Chula Vista in 2011 and High Tech Elementary in Point Loma in 2015. She has loved working alongside such passionate teachers, caring families and enthusiastic students. Jami is now a parent as well as a teacher here at High Tech now that her two sons attend school here as well. She feels very grateful to be a part of a loving, hardworking and dynamic community.
When she is not teaching, Jami enjoys cycling on her Peloton bike, reading People Magazine, shopping at Target and spending time with her husband Eric, her two boys and her dog Moose.
