Hello friends! My name is Ms. Jeanine and I am thrilled to be teaching STEAM alongside the amazing Ms. Shar! I have a passion for all things science and nature related, and I look forward to collaborating with our teachers, students and families this year as we explore, question, and create in the STEAM room! I am grateful to continue to call High Tech Elementary Chula Vista home, with its beautiful atmosphere of community, innovation, and meaningful learning – it truly is an amazing place that inspires me every day!
I was born and raised right here in lovely San Diego. I have a B.S. in Biology from University of California, San Diego and earned my teaching credential from San Diego State University. I have always loved our vibrant city, full of diverse cultures, languages, and so many things to do! I especially love the amazing natural spaces San Diego has to offer. I try to get outdoors to take advantage of that as much as possible – and I hope to inspire my students and families to do the same through our projects this year! I grew up next to the ocean and have never been able to drift too far from it. When I am not at school, you might catch me and my family enjoying San Diego’s hiking trails, hanging by the beach, or traveling around our big, blue, beautiful planet!
