My name is Mr. Fields. I am really looking forward to teaching this
year. I just moved to San Diego in October of 2023 ago from Las Vegas, where I was born
and raised. I studied political science as an undergrad from UNLV and got my master’s degree in elementary education from National University. I have been in education for 7 years and a fully licensed teacher for 5 and a half years. During my time as a licensed teacher I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade in a general education setting. In these grades I was teaching all the general education subjects: math, reading, writing, social studies, health, and science. The last school I taught at recently started implementing Project Based Learning and a more hands-on science curriculum.

A little bit about myself. I love to do anything that keeps me active. I go hiking,
train jiu-jitsu in Point Loma, have taught group fitness with boxing and kettlebells, travel
frequently, and even love my antisocial, inactive time by reading books or just
discovering new music. I also know how to DJ, but do not do it more than just for myself
or friends. Whatever I am doing though, I love trying, experiencing, or going somewhere
new. I am nervous, but also very excited about this new journey at High Tech
