Hey everyone! I am one of eleven children and I grew up in Napa Valley, California. My childhood involved playing baseball and football from a very young age and I eventually traded these sports for skateboarding and surfing. I am thankful for my ‘sporty’ upbringing as it taught me important life lessons such as teamwork and collaboration, practice creates precision, and just the joy that fresh air can bring.
I studied Chemistry and Math at Virginia Tech and after graduating felt the need to travel. I moved to Australia where I spent 3 years exploring the coast as well as frequent trips to Indonesia and New Zealand. After 3 years well spent I came to San Diego to plant some roots. This is my 4th year teaching and I love being able to connect with students and show them that they are capable of far more than they expect. Math can be a daunting subject for some and I hope that students walk out of my class feeling accomplished, capable and accepted. I am looking forward to the best year yet with your kiddos!
