Last summer, I drove cross-country from New York City with my miniature dachshund, Bruno, in search of the outdoor lifestyle San Diego has to offer—and found an incredible landing spot. With over 20 years of experience working with students, educators, and administrators, I’ve dedicated my career to developing student supports and fostering inclusive, welcoming school cultures.
My work spans public, charter, and independent schools, and I’ve had the privilege of serving diverse communities across New York City, Connecticut, and Vermont, in urban, suburban, and rural settings. I hold a B.A. from New York University and a Master’s in Early Childhood and Special Education (M.Ed.) from Bank Street College. With a deep commitment to inclusion, I’ve worked to shift mindsets and advocate for the importance of supporting students with diverse learning needs. I am deeply committed to equity and diversity in education and believe that all children deserve to feel safe, valued, and heard in their learning environments.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, drawing, gardening, yoga, and spending time near or on the water. I cherish time with my family—my three grown children, who live around the country, and my 6-year-old granddaughter, who brings so much joy to my life. When not with family, I’m usually out exploring the beach or nearby trails with Bruno by my side.
