Greetings! My name is Taryn and I am the 8th Grade Education Specialist for High Tech Middle Point Loma. I was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California and have never left! I have an Associate Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences/Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University. After graduating college I worked as a Behavioral Therapist and then a Special Education Teacher in a different school district. I am entering into a Master’s program this Fall 2024 for Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. I joined the HTH team in early 2024 and am so excited to be a part of an inclusive learning environment.

I am a mom to three wonderful kiddos and a wife to a very supportive husband. In my off time, my family and I love going to the beach, taking hikes, exploring new coffee shops, doing art projects, baking, farmers markets, etc. I love the outdoors and taking time to enjoy every moment I can of nature and all its beauty.
